Danilo Lucena was born in São Paulo, Brazil. He graduated in graphic design and later, a master’s degree in Visual Arts at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), where he studied cognitive and creative processes, according to cognitive psychology and creativity, applied to the creation process in design and art. Over the last 20 years, he has worked in agencies and multinational companies, worked as a freelancer and founded start-ups. Due to the period living abroad, having experienced artistic environments in Europe, he decided to dedicate himself to giving voice to his art in a professional way, and currently dedicates his life to art and his artistic production.

His work talks about the transformations and marks of life and death, the mind, imagination and spirituality contained in nature (in short, it’s about Devir and Entropy). With his original ink and watercolor technique, Danilo Lucena shares with paper, to reveal this fantastic universe,… He also likes to explore techniques with acrylic and digital painting, and makes use of different platforms, such as paper, canvas, wood and murals on walls. Currently, Danilo is also dedicated to bringing his experience of Visual Arts to the world of tattooing, a new way of expressing himself, creating unique and exclusive arts with his artistic style, based on conversation and connection with the person who will be tattooed. He doesn’t consider himself a tattoo artist, but an artist who tattoos.
